Catrina is an engaging musician songwriter and recording artist who performs regularly in her hometown of Melbourne, Australia in a wide variety of musical ensembles. These include five-star hotel, concerts and corporate performances with her Jazz Trio and as a solo artist. Catrina’s performances have taken her overseas to the UK, USA, Canada, Italy, Romania and Asia. In 1999 she was invited to be musician in residence at the Grand Hyatt in Seoul, Korea which included performances at the Ambassader’s Ball and for Queen Elizabeth the 2nd’s first official visit to Korea.
Catrina has also performed in classical concerts as a soloist with the Astra Ensemble, currently recording for New World Records, NY and has had TV and concert appearances with the jazz vocal quartet, BOPeRA. The Catrina Seiffert Jazz Trio is often a featured band at opening night after-parties including for the musicals, Miss Saigon and Wicked.
Although Catrina has composed for many years, she started her journey in sync songwriting in 2020 with 6fs and Sync Summit and is now collaborating with other writers around Australia and in the US.
Her experiences have included performing jazz at the Banff Centre for the Arts, and in festivals across Canada, Song Summit in Sydney, workshops on voice rehabilitation, The Institute of Living Voice at the Melbourne International Festival, songwriting workshops and Coursera study with Pat Pattison and Stephen Webber from Berklee College of Music, Boston as well as individual music lessons from many professional performers at the top of their field including pianists Bob Sedergreen and Joe Chindamo in Melbourne and international jazz singers, Sheila Jordan and Mark Murphy.
