Jody Friedman is the founder of HD MUSIC NOW, a full service music licensing & supervision company that regularly licenses songs to film, television, advertising, trailers, video games, and more.
In business since 2008, HD Music Now quickly became known amongst the music supervisor community as a go-to music licensing house. Jody prides himself in his ability to listen and understand music requests received, and provide on point, easy to clear suggestions within a short turnaround.
He has represented music from artists such as Styx, Clint Black, Elton John and many up and coming independent bands, composers and producers.
Selections from the HD Music Now catalog have been heard in television shows such as Ray Donovan, Breaking Bad, American Horror Story, Hart of Dixie, Private Practice, Grey’s Anatomy, True Blood, Dexter, Shameless; In Feature films such as Dolphin Tale, Jobs, Friends with Benefits, Baggage Claim, Dinner For Schmucks, Parental Guidance, American Reunion; In advertisements for K-Mart, Direct TV, Viasat & Chevy; and in trailers for Rock of Ages, John Carter & Earth to Echo.
Jody has music supervised several independent feature films including Don’t Fade Away (Mischa Barton, Beau Bridges), Camp Hell (Andrew McCarthy, Jessie Eisenberg), Three Veils (Eric Avari, Mercedes Masohn), and more…
He is currently serving as music supervisor for the international feature film, “Strictly Salsa”.
An artist and songwriter in his own right, Jody travels regularly to Nashville, TN to write with multi-platinum writers and Grammy winners on music row.
