COSTANZA_ PHOTO for BIO 855Born in Rome and currently living between NYC Zurich and Rome, Costanza Francavilla is a musician, singer, music producer and photographer who aims to combine visionary aesthetics with social awareness and DIY philosophy.

She creates music with an electronic hypnotic tension combined with sultry dreamlike vocals.
Among her works, she collaborated with Trip-Hop maverick and Massive Attack member Tricky, who referred to her as ‘the female version of me’.

Growing up surrounded by art, she studied Classical guitar as a child, attended the University of Westminster of London and graduated from the University of Architecture of Rome with a master’s degree in “Acoustic Physics”.

In 2008 she released her self-produced debut album Sonic Diary and moved to NYC where she founded ZerOKilled Music – label, music production & sync agency.

Her music has been featured on several acclaimed TV series such as CSI, L Word, The Ringer, Nikita and she composed music for TV Ad campaigns (such as Cadillac), as well as TV and Radio Shows (MTV, RAI).

More recently, she composed for the soundtrack of The End Of Time, the last film by visionary Swiss-Canadian film- maker Peter Mettler, which premiered at Toronto Film Festival in 2012.

Currently Costanza is dedicating most of her time to develop ZerOKilled Music, which now represents a unique roster of international electronic artists in an effort to place their innovative and touching sounds in the moving image media industry.

Under Costanza’s creative direction, ZerOKilled artists have composed music for trailers (The Hunger Games), Video Game ( FIFA 2012), advertising campaigns, TV shows and movies featured in film festivals such as Cannes, Venice, Toronto and the Berlinale.

In 2013, the track “Beyond Fire” featuring on the Catching Fire trailer – composed by T.T.L., a ZerOKilled artist produced by Costanza – was awarded the International Music And Sound Award for Best Original Composition.

Costanza next solo project is expected to be out on ZerOKilled in 2014.
