Originally from Chicago, Julia came to Los Angeles for college and graduated from USC with a Bachelor of Science in Music Industry.  She started her career in the music industry in the major record label world at Interscope Records and then soon moved to music publishing.  She developed her skills in the creative department at Bug Music, pitching songs from the independent publisher’s catalog for film, TV, and video game placement.  During her time at Bug she was named one of Billboard Magazine’s 30 Under 30 in 2011 for her work in music in video games, including an original song project involving The National and Portal II.  She is now Senior Director of Licensing & Soundtracks at RCA Records and has been with the company for five years, spearheading the west coast arm of the RCA Licensing team.  With a wide range of creative and clearance experience, Julia continues to explore new avenues in the licensing world for RCA artists as well as develop innovative licensing techniques to conquer the ever-expanding digital media space.
