Hyp is entrenched in music. He was professionally involved for 30 years, performing, recording, producing, mixing studio/live sound and mastering music projects. He plays the harp, kora, keys, percussion and does turntabalism. Formerly a member of the Roxbury-Boston founded Hip-Hop groups, Exile Society, Subterraneanz and Triple Ave, he has toured and performed with acts from A Tribe Called Quest to Sade. With consistent socio-political lyrical content Hyp realized it was time to put his words into action. He went back to school, graduated from UC Berkeley and currently works with people returning home from jail and prison. Hyp now combines the best of both worlds using Hip-Hop and restorative justice to build with those who seek healing.
