Anita Chinkes Ratner is the SVP and Head of Music and Licensing Strategy at Viacom Media Networks.
In this position Ms. Ratner and her team provide music supervision and licensing for content creators across Viacom, and operates Viacom’s Music Publishing, Music Library and Clip Licensing businesses. Ms. Ratner’s work supports Viacom brands’ music and licensing goals across platforms ranging from digital and soundtracks to television and film.
Prior to her current role at Viacom, Ms. Ratner served as SVP of Global Music and Media Licensing at MTV Networks and she was MTV’s Vice President of Rights and Clearances. Prior to Viacom, she was in the international program sales group at CBS Inc., and she has worked as a freelance music supervisor, editor, and production assistant on numerous film and TV projects.
Ms. Ratner received a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Television Production from Hofstra University, and has been a featured speaker at the Sync Summit and Association of Independent Music Publishers. She is a member of Women in Music, NYWIFT, WICT and the Guild of Music Supervisors. She currently lives in New York City with her family. She has been a fan of music for as long as she can remember and feels truly lucky to be able to work in a creative environment with an incredible team of people. She especially loves the music discovery that comes along with her job.

The Sync Music Listening Sessions are strictly limited to 20 participants, so every single person gets one song of their music listened to, evaluated and shared with the people working on some of the top projects in TV, film, video games, trailers apps, ads, brands and the Internet.
You’ll be able to ask questions, and all playlists from the songs played in the session are archived and shared on the Sync Summit Listening Sessions website.
The cost for taking part in this Listening Session is $150 and includes the session, listing in the Session playlist and access to all session video archives.
