1. Tell us about your band and music

My music is universal. I’ve always heard and played a lot of different styles from all over the world.

However, my songs almost always have some kind of Brazilian Popular Music influence, which is the basis of my music training. Basically, I put musicians together and make specific bands according with the project I´m doing at the moment.

2. Tell us about the syncs and placements you’ve had

In Brazil I have made more than 100 original soundtracks for institutional videos for TV, movies and cartoons and won 7 awards for “Best Original Soundtrack” for films.

The last international synchronization job was for McDonalds in its worldwide campaign for the Football World Cup (2014), with a song from my 3rd record “Amarelo, Preto ou Branco” (“Yellow, Black or White”) – see here:

3. Have you had success in licensing or composition for visual/interactive media projects?

I think I can say “yes” as my music was featured in worldwide campaign of McDonalds which was I was very nice and I’ve done a lot of work in Brazil, and I’m now looking forward now to expanding this activity to other countries.

With this cartoon, in the following link, I won 2 awards for “Best Original Sound Track”- “O LOBISOMEM E O CORONEL” (“THE WEREWOLF AND THE COLONEL”):

4. Do you work with brands?

I don’t work directly with brands yet, I´m looking forward to. Until these days I have worked only with advertising agencies and music supervisors.

5. What do you expect to derive from playing a showcase at SyncSummit and how do people get hold of you?

I expect finding partners, even brands or music supervisors, that would like to start a strong professional relationship for making original sound tracks, on demand, or using my personal catalog.

In addition, if possible, I´m looking forward to find an Agent and Record label to start a process of growing audience in the United States (I have 3 records). I´m making some tests about making versions of my songs for the English language, for the American / English market.

People can get hold of me by my email: arko.cd@terra.com.br. I have my own company (Arko Music + Entertainment) which is also my publisher, so all my songs are fast and clear for synchronization.
