Evocative melodies, orchestral textures, jazz shadings, and atmospheric electronica: mapping a detailed emotional landscape, the music of JanetB presents a vibrant sonic repertoire adaptable for a wide range of visual media.
Recent credits include “After The Rain,” placed in the German indie film Laced Silk, opening credits and incidental music for multiple 2021 SAS Performing Arts Company & Studio productions, underscores in corporate videos, and two in-store broadcast collections.
With a degree in Music & Theater from the Aaron Copland School of Music (Queens College) in New York City, classical music informed JanetB’s compositional foundation along with R&B, pop, musical theatre, and Great American Songbook influences. She says inspiration for her compositions is channeling emotion, with digital technology allowing for a limitless range of instrumental possibilities.
Now working with sync agents and music placement specialists, JanetB creates music for media, but more expressly, she also conceives it for joy. “I prefer what the fashion world might call ‘The timeless classics,’ she says. Thankfully, everyone always needs piano music, one of the styles that I do best.”
