The Dawn of MAY is a New York-based Australian chanteuse, songwriter and artist. Having showcased the groundbreaking ‘Ballerino’ in 2017, a smoky piano-driven ode to a moment lost in time, MAY released her debut EP, Phantom on Dan Smith’s (Bastille) label – Best Laid Plans in November, 2018.
Displaying jaw dropping vocal performances in ‘Falling’, ‘Baby Save Me Tonight’ and ‘Grace’, the release received global support from BBC Radio 1, KCRW and Australia’s own Triple J (Home and Hosed, Weekend Lunch) to name a few.
Bringing the world a new, powerful, female voice in contemporary music, The Dawn of MAY has just completed tour dates with Bastille, opening for them at select dates internationally.
Loving all things evoking history, romance, tragedy and noir, MAY is creating a hauntingly memorable sound and style for a generation.
