Upon recognizing the sizable need for funding options that cater to music professionals and allow creatives to retain their copyrights, Alex Heiche founded Sound Royalties in 2014 and serves as the company’s Chief Executive Officer. His innate passion for music and strong roots in the music industry have greatly contributed to the firm’s success.

Alex is a strong and outspoken music advocate, defending the rights of songwriters, producers and artists, as well as the importance of those in the creative world being fairly compensated for their work while retaining their music rights and royalties. Alex possesses decades of experience in providing funds and finance raising strategies to large annuity recipients, professional athletes, songwriters and artists. He has worked with leading music industry professionals, including GRAMMY Award winners, platinum recording artists and notable music industry executives in every genre, always with the utmost discretion and privacy.

Prior to founding Sound Royalties, Alex held executive roles in high-tech software and specialty finance firms, including ICARUS Corporation, a worldwide Artificial Intelligence engineering software to petrochemical, chemical, and nuclear power plants; OC Systems, enterprise-wide application monitoring systems, and software development testing/debugging tools; Zero-G, weightless flights for entertainment, research, education, and filming purposes; and Living Nexus, software utilized for large real estate investments trusts with net asset values over $1 billion.

A respected thought leader in the music business, Alex shares his knowledge and insights at many industry events including GRAMMY Week, the Sync Summit and the Los Angeles Digital Content Marketplace, as well as with music students at universities including Vanderbilt and Belmont. Additionally, Alex’s expert opinions have been featured in top publications such as Billboard, Rolling Stone, Music Business Worldwide, The Tennessean, Music Connection and Digital Music News.

Alex graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland, College Park. He is a co-owner of Studio Bank in Nashville, TN, and a lifetime member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame and Nashville Songwriters Association International.
