After studying business administration in Frankfurt and Buenos Aires, Patrick Jöst took his first professional steps at Sony Music and 3p in the area of marketing, before switching to the media side: At MTV Central Europe he was Manager Talent & Artist Relations, with responsibility for video selection and marketing cooperation with record companies, artists and managers.
Other stops on his journey included the online and advertising agency defcom webdressing as well as the establishment and management of the Berlin office for music marketing and sponsoring of the textile marketer JMS Distributions.
From 2002 to 2008, he established and headed the department of Music Consulting and Licensing for advertising, film and video games at Sony/ATV Music Publishing in Germany.
Before joining BMG Rights Management, where he has been building up and running the international team for synch licensing & marketing, he has been active as an independent music consultant for the agency musicwise; among other things advising well known players in the music industry as well as various advertisers and marketers of brand name items.
